Mito Red Light was founded in 2018 in Scottsdale, Arizona by Scott Chaverri — a Cornell University graduate (BA, Psychology) and University of Rochester Simon Business School alumnus (MBA, Finance). What started as a mission to make clinical-quality red light therapy accessible to everyday people has grown into one of the most recognized and trusted brands in the category.

We have been continuously operating and serving customers for over 7 years. Our products have been refined across multiple hardware generations — not because earlier versions failed, but because we invest in making them better based on real customer feedback and evolving photobiomodulation research. We do not self-certify. Electrical safety certifications vary by product and include ETL Listed (Intertek) and UL Certified — both recognized across North America. Select devices hold UL Medical Equipment certification to IEC 60601, one of the most stringent safety standards in the industry.

Power output (irradiance) and spectral output are independently measured by LightLab International, an ISO-accredited photometric and radiometric laboratory. Additionally, Mito Red Light holds BSCI certification and is ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 certified at the manufacturing level — covering quality management and environmental responsibility.
