Mito Red Universal (Vertical or Horizontal) Stand

Firstly, the instructions to assemble are terribly written. Secondly, the height adjustment is not well thought out and is very difficult. They used two little press buttons that require you to simultaneously lift the light while pressing two separate buttons at the same time. Meaning you need 4 hands in order make a height adjustment. They use universal rails so if you have the smaller panel the rails stick out beyond the panel which looks terrible. And finally, the panel is stuck at either horizontal or vertical, you cannot change the plane you have it installed without full disassembly. Would not recommend this stand. It is sturdy, it does roll well.

We realize the base size is to stabilize the panel however it’s too large for home use in a smaller home. I also assumed we could use the panel horizontally and then store or move it in the vertical position. Right now it sits at the base of our bed and overpowers our bedroom. Not so happy with that.

It's relatively straightforward to put the stand together....until you get to the part where you have to actually mount the panels. The instructions for each panel type are vague and don't tell you what parts to use, where to put them, how then to attach the brackets to the core part of the stand, etc.

Also would be easier if ALL of the parts came labeled, not just the hardware.

This thing is huge and really not aesthetic. It looks like a medical device, it belongs in a hospital room. It doesn’t collapse, so I’m not sure how I’m going to conceal this thing. I didn’t read the description carefully enough and didn’t realize it’s made for a 750 plus another panel, rather than a 750 alone. That’s my mistake.

However, it does hold my 750 horizontally and given that the med sized panel doesn’t cover the entire body and standing gets tiring, it is an improvement from what I’d been doing previously.

I wish there was a horizontal stand for a med/small panel.

It took two attempts to set this up correctly. The first time, I installed the mitopro 1500 with the brackets centered on it and the stand bar was positioned directly over the power plug. I couldn’t access it. I removed the light and reinstalled the brackets so they’re holding the panel off center and that worked. If you’re type A it might drive you nuts but it’s the only way to set up the 1500.

The directions start off easy but then they don’t follow their own guidelines. Like the screws and components are labeled but the instructions don’t reference them by their labels.

I still haven’t figured out how to add my mitopro 300 to the stand. Again, the directions are maddening.

All that said, it’s really nice to have a stand that allows me to lie down when I use the red light. I’m more consistent now that it’s convenient.

Ariel has helped me several times with a return H-Water Bottle and with my 750x lights and the stand. I just spoke with him and he indicated that you are working on new and improved instructions for putting together the verticle/horizonal stand. That is really a fabulous idea because I have had to tear my whole stand apart 3 times due to no illustrations or incorrect illustrations. Arial was always polite and helpful but he couldn't always draw me a picture overline and your videos were not appropriate for the purchase per se.
