Mastercrafted Red Light Glasses

Mastercrafted Red Light Glasses

The Mito Red PRO Glasses are the upgraded evolution of our best-selling glasses—designed for those who want the highest level of comfort, protection, and performance during red light therapy.

Balanced and Targeted Attenuation

Balanced and Targeted Attenuation

In our testing photos, we show why eye protection that attenuates red and near-infrared (NIR) light is essential. Attenuation means the glasses reduce light intensity to protect your eyes. NIR can penetrate deeply, so regular sunglasses are not enough. The test demonstrates how well properly designed glasses block harmful light.

Smaller Lenses, Smarter Design

Smaller Lenses, Smarter Design

The new lens shape provides targeted protection while allowing more therapeutic light to reach hard-to-hit areas like crow’s feet and fine lines around the eyes—maximizing results without compromising safety.

With two choices (Dark) and (Extra Dark) you can choose the level of attenuation that optimizes for your comfort and specific use case.

FAQ

Do I need to wear special glasses for red light therapy?

Yes! Beware of other glasses that claim they block 100% of the light - almost certainly this is red light ONLY. Red light therapy eye protection should attenuate BOTH red and near infrared (NIR) light. Near infrared can penetrate into bone, so it will easily go through sunglasses or other poorly designed goggles. The testing in our photos is done with a high powered Mito Red Light panel with BOTH red and NIR active.

Do red light therapy glasses work?

Yes—red light therapy glasses are specifically designed to protect your eyes from excess brightness while still allowing therapeutic wavelengths to reach your skin. Our Mito Red IR3 PRO Glasses block about 80% of visible light, making them ideal for comfort and safe use during shorter or less intense red light therapy sessions. For those who want maximum attenuation, our IR5 PRO Glasses reduce visible light by about 95%, offering superior protection during high-power treatments. Both options help minimize eye strain, improve comfort, and enhance your overall red light therapy experience.

How do I protect my eyes during red light therapy?

Wear purpose-built red light therapy glasses. Many so called 'red light therapy glasses' are just bulky repurposed laser goggles. They are too big and may actually be ineffective at blocking Near Infrared light above 800nm. Our PRO glasses attenuate the most common wavelengths used in LED red and near infrared light therapy devices (600nm - 900nm).

Why should I upgrade my red light therapy glasses?

Upgrading your red light therapy glasses improves both comfort and performance. A refined fit and feather-light design makes them easy to wear during any session, while a smaller lens design lets more therapeutic light reach your skin where you need it most. Enhanced durability ensures long-lasting use, and trusted attenuation of both red and near-infrared wavelengths provides reliable eye protection for safer, more effective red light therapy.

What is the difference between IR3 PRO and IR5 PRO?

The difference comes down to the level of eye protection. The IR3 PRO (Dark) reduces about 80% of visible light, making it ideal for most users and standard panels. The IR5 PRO (Extra Dark) blocks around 95% of visible light, perfect for ultra-bright panels or sensitive eyes. Both options provide reliable attenuation of red and near-infrared light for safe, comfortable therapy.

    Better glasses

I have enjoyed wearing these glasses more than the typical pair because you can see through them. They are light and easy to wear.
